Pull-Up Resistors I was assembling my sous vide board and I started to wonder about the number of pullup resistors as I was counting them out.  The board has a total of ten pullup resistors.  At what point does the current drain of the pullup resistors become significant?

Cool article Jon. I hadn't thought about using port pins as the high line for the pull up, and only provide the high level at times they are needed. Very power savvy for battery powered projects.

I usually use the internal pullup's on portB of the 18F series pics, but it's good to devise other ways because it's often the case where you can't use them and other/many pullup's are required.
