Does anybody know of a manufacturer for Arduino-type stacking connectors? I haven't been able to find a manufacturer. Many places sell an "Arduino Pack" of them but I'd like to buy just the size I need in quantity.

I believe they are probably a standard connector - a female header socket with a long tail for wire wrapping - but my Digikey and Tyco Electronics searches haven't paid off so far.

I'm not sure this fits what you are looking for but I found some leads on a few things:

Try a search for: SAM1125 on digikey

There are these: http://www.adafruit.com/products/85

I found the above when searching for the following]www.4uconnector.com/

Hope that helps. I like a good Google challenge.

Brad and Jon,

Those are exactly the connectors I'm after (I should have posted a pic). I need the 6-pin type and would like to get a few steps closer to the source. The 4 pack for $1.50 seems kind of spendy.

On the other hand, when I said "quantity" I didn't really mean 1000 pieces!

A search for "10.5mm header" yielded some interesting results. (10.5mm is the lead length I believe)

How about these? $0.41 each if you buy more than 10 http://www.protostack.com/connectors/st ... ng-headers

Just to note, if you look closely, many of the places that are selling these for $1.50 are actually selling two 8-pin headers and two 6-pin headers in the package.

Here is the Samtec version at digikey]search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSea ... 106-03-T-S

Newark has them for around $0.45

Thanks Jon! That's progress. I had actually looked at Samtec yesterday but got a little lost in understanding the part number. The price is decent directly from Samtec (I haven't checked on shipping)...but they sure have interesting price breaks:
